I was sitting at home with rollers in my hair, working on my laptop when my phone buzzed. I looked down and I screamed!!!!
It happened! Just like I’d hope. The brewery guy I’d been crushing on for MONTHS found me on IG and said “Hey Katie, I was wondering if you’d like to join me for an adult beverage sometime?”
Fast forward to today, me and Brewery Guy are house shopping!
One of the things I love most about our love story is that looking back at all the pieces that had to come into place in order for us to meet. It’s a masterpiece! The Universe had a huge hand in getting us to the right place at the right time…But also turning us into the people who would recognize true love when it was in front of our faces.
Many assume we met on a dating app, as a result of endless swiping and 100’s of bad dates. But nope! We met in good, old fashioned - real life.
After many wrong relationships, heartbreaks and many nights wondering when it would be my turn. I found the ideal love I’d been searching for all these years. Suddenly all of the loneliness, and disappointments made sense.
Having such a healthy and certain love in my life, I grew a passion for helping other women who were like me find their ideal love. Women who rock it in their careers, but for some reason, seem to be the only single one left. Amazing women, who deserve to find a partner who helps make their life even better!
After chatting with many women about their experience on dating apps being just as miserable as mine I began to do my research. I discovered that most of the apps that were created to help people find love, actually don’t intend on helping their customers find love at all!
In fact, many of the apps deliberately place ideal matches behind pay walls, and punish your profile if you don’t engage enough. All this capitalist BS felt like unnecessary psychological warfare and I’ve had it! Everyone deserves love and the apps are not helping us with that, screw them!
